Well, the Yankees really blew it tonight. Or I should say Proctor really blew it. The bases were loaded in the bottom of the ninth and he threw four balls to walk in a run. It's really the saddest way to lose a game. Against the worst team in baseball, the Orioles. Please.
The Mets didn't fare much better against the Cardinals. It looked like it was going to be up to Shawn Green again in the bottom of the ninth with two out. He hit a wicked walk-off home run last night but he walked tonight. Next up was Jose Valentine and he hit a triple to score Shawn Green. The game is now tied 3 to 3. Then in the top of the eleventh Ryan of the Cardinals hit his first major league home run. Boo. Poor Valentin made a stupid fielding error and allowed another run to score. So the Mets lose 5 to 3.
Thank goodness Cleveland was great tonight. The A's were ahead in the ninth when Hafner hit a two-run double to tie the game. Then good ole Kelly Shoppach hit a great three-run walk-off homerun to win. Yay! Apparently Grady Sizemore hit a home run tonight but I missed it. That happened the other day, too. Go Cleveland!
