Baseball is back

Hey, sorry I haven't posted in a while.

I had a great Spring Break at Grammy's house. The only homework I did was math.

Saturday I met with Deepika at the Pleasanton Public Library to work on math. I had already finished but I got a couple more problems that I hadn't been able to do during the week. I also checked out three books on the Navajo people for a research paper I'm doing on them for English.

I checked out two more books today at the Las Po library. Now I have five books plus a thick U.S. history book.

Speaking of U.S. history....

James (?) Carville had called former Democratic presidential candidate Bill Richardson a "Judas" for publicly endorsing Barack Obama. Richardson had been a close friend of the Clintons.

In 1824, John Quincy Adams ran for president against Democrat Andrew Jackson. One of Jackson's friends John C. Calhoun ended up supporting Adams. Jackson then called Calhoun a "Judas." I read about that today in my history book.

And speaking of presidential candidates, I saw a car with a "Barack Obama for President '08" bumper sticker. Also, etched in dirt, someone had written "F*** McCain" on the back of the car. Haha.

Also, today was opening day for the Yankees!!!!! They were going to play the Toronto Blue Jays, but guess what, it was pouring. So the game has been rescheduled for tomorrow. This is the last season that will be played at the original Yankee Stadium. A new stadium is being built next door. Also, the new Mets stadium, formally the historic Shea Stadium, is now called CitiField.

Okay, baseball season is back and I will be once again reporting daily on the latest news and scores. I am sorry if you hated that..... haha.

So.... Joe Torre is now the manager of the Dodgers. But the rest of the Yankee team is intact. Alex Rodriguez has been signed for a ten-year deal. But he won't even be playing ten years from now. He's already 32.

The Giants had a horrible Spring Training with a record of 9-23-2. They took down the Barry Bonds Homerun Tracker that had been posted inside the stadium. Even though Barry isn't on the team anymore, I think they should have left the tracker up. He doesn't have a team right now. I guess no one wants to deal with him. I have a feeling no other fans will want him either.

Roger Clemens has no team either. As you may know he has now been in court over this whole steroids thing because his personal trainer said he personally injected him with them. What does he have to gain from this?

Hopefully this whole witch hunt will end this season. Or else everyone will be hanged.

I was watching Glenn Beck, a conservative talk show host. He had a man who created "Vets for Freedom." Vets for Freedom is a troop of Iraq war veterans that travel the country going to schools and talking about their experiences. Apparently some parents in Minnesota had them skip their kids' school because they felt Vets for Freedom is too "political." Glen Beck of course thought this was ridiculous, even though the creator admitted that they often speak their opinions of the war to the kids. Then he said that the "Al Gore movie" (An Inconvenient Truth) was too political to be shown in school. I actually watched that movie in school for Chemistry. No, Glenn, it's not political, it's just inconvenient. Moron.

So.... I am watching Trading Spaces right now.

Also, while I was in Sonoma, my mom and dad painted my bedroom. Two walls are pink and two plus the ceiling are white. Then my mom and I put up Hello Kitty decals. There are twenty-five of them. So now my room looks like an eight-year-old's room.
