We were all watching TV and a couple movies. Then I wanted to watch Hardball and Grandpa basically told me that I am a spoiled brat and that I am only happy as long as I get everything I want..... yes, he said that to me.
Now, why do they even bother asking me to come here if I annoy them so much?
Do you feel the same way about me? If you do I might as well kill myself and rid all of you the shit that I bring to your lives.
Thanks, Grandpa.
So let's see... I have no friends, I have no life, I have no job, I don't go out, I am not going to a UC like everyone expected me to. Yeah, that's right, I get everything I want, all the time. Idiot.
..... I want to go home.

Your Mom called me and told me you are having a bad time with Grandpa.. Grayce, do not take this personally... HE is the one with a problem, not you.... why do you think I am not married to him any more? I never thought he would be mean to you... I would rip his heart out if I was there now... You have never been a spoiled brat for a single minute of your entire life... He is only comfortable with kids when they are little, then when they turn into adults who have their own opinions and ideas he has no use for them... he did that with his own kids, and now you.... Just suck up and be cheerful, and have fun with Grandma, and you will be home before you know it... and Tucson can be forever X'd off your potential travel destinations... xoxoxoxo
Graycie, we definitely do not feel the same way about you. Not even close. I don't know why dad would say that to you, but it's no secret that he struggles with a lot of demons in his own head. He's just not a very happy person. That statement says nothing about you and everything about him. I know it's hard, but please try not to internalize it.
I hope Paul turns out like you, G. That would make me soooo happy. In a world full of self-absorbed people that seem to refuse to think, you give me hope. Maybe dad is threatened by your youth, intelligence, and insight. I don't know. But the man's utterly full of crap sometimes, and this time you just happened to be in the way.
In any case, we are both really looking forward to January! We love spending time with you!
Heh... G... Looks like mom and I hit the "Publish your comment" button two minutes apart (and one ocean)... and said pretty much the same thing!
