Third day

Well, I congratulate myself on my 400th post today!

And, boy, I had a hard time staying awake at chem lab this morning. I got up at six thirty, but I didn't go to bed until 11:30.

Yes, this lab will be quite... difficult. Lots of safety rules and stuff. The lab room actually has a shower where people go if they get chemicals on their skin. It is surrounded by a curtain, and people actually have to take their clothes off. Right in front of everyone (well, behind a little curtain, that is right in the lab room.) I hope I never have to do that.

Today was just a safety briefing. Next week we start our labs with one about measuring things and counting things. No chemicals or anything, just pennies.

And I gave my speech today in Speech class. I volunteered to go first. I wasn't very nervous, because I was just talking about something I was extremely familiar with. Mine was the longest one. Heh. I always give long speeches.

Some of them from the other students were very interesting. A lot of mothers mentioned as influential figures. One girl said the most influential event in her life was when she became a "follower of Christ." Another guy said he was inspired by Obama's inauguration. I sort of forget the others.

Anyway, oh yeah, my anthropology class last night was pretty awesome. It seems that it will be a very very interesting class. It's all about evolution, and early humans, and modern primates, and other cultures and stuff. I like all that. And the best part is that I can eat dinner beforehand so I am not hungry during class. That was my problem during my last two night classes.

I still miss Mr. Sato and English 7, as well as Ms. Klask back from my first semester. They are my two favorite teachers so far at Las Po. But I think I will really like my anthropology teacher too. Not that I don't like my other teachers this semester. My speech teacher is pretty cool. I like her. And my bio teacher is nice too. She is funny. My chem teacher is a little boring and he has a soft voice. Usually I sit in the back of my classrooms, but I think I will sit in the front in his class.

Yes, I prefer to have teachers who are female, youngish, with neat handwriting, and with a loud voice. But then again, Mr. Sato wasn't female and I liked him. So every teacher is different I guess.

That is all. Bye!
